How to Protect Yourself from Energy Vampires

Ever experienced your energy be drained by simply spending time with a particular person?

Instead of leaving the encounter feeling happy, inspired, or at ease, you’re left feeling exhausted, anxious, or depressed. If so, you’ve likely been in the company of an energy vampire. It can be impossible to avoid energy vampires—they can be your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors. Whether they intend to or not, they drain you.

Relationships are always an energy exchange. It’s important to be surrounded by supportive, heart-centered people who make you feel safe and secure. Unfortunately, the world is a mixed bag, and you can’t always control who enters your “personal space.” You’ve heard the term before, and if you’re empathic, you’re likely hyper aware when someone enters your personal space. The energy of the uninvited, especially energy vampires, invading it may invoke an immediate sense of discomfort. You can feel it. But did you know you could use your energy to create a force field around you?

You’re probably wondering, what is a “force field?” There are certain energy frequencies that have their own consciousness, and when you call upon and use them, you create a force field around your body that prevents you from taking in negative energies, prevents you from being in situations where you don’t want to be, and helps connect you to the right people, at the right time, and at the right moment.

Step 1 - Ground yourself

The first thing you want to do is ground yourself into the earth. Say, “I connect the electromagnetic energies in my feet to the electromagnetic energies in the earth.” This happens immediately. Once you feel your heels being pushed down into the earth, you’re ready to pull up the energy of your force field.

Step 2 - Force field up

Next, you just simply say, “force field up.” There is now an invisible force field around you. The force field is building a strong amount of energy from all of the frequencies of consciousness that are connected to what people call their “higher self.” In Shamanism, they call it your “spirit self.”

Step 3 - Test it

Now you’ll need to confirm that your force field is up by pushing your hands out. If you can feel the energy pushing against your hand like a rubber band, then your force field is up. To double check it (so you know you’re not going crazy), simply say “force field down” and put your hands up to feel that the resistance is no longer there.

Step 4 - “So I can feel it.”

To play with it, try making it stronger. Say, “Force field up. Become strong like thick, invisible glass.” Now test it. You should be able to feel the force field even more. Say, “Increase it so I can feel it.” Whenever you ask for energy, especially if you’re new to drawing energy in from the spirit world, always say, “So I can feel it.” This is how you will know it’s working. When you do this, you’re able to remove the skepticism from your mind and step into your spiritual power with more determination, focus, and truth.

Step 5 - Set your intention

When connecting, you can ask your force field to do many things (beyond avoiding energy vampires). Some examples:

  • “Force field, generate a wave of energy of unconditional self love in my body.”

  • “Force field, don’t take in other people’s emotional baggage—emotional drama, emotional issues, none of it.”

  • “Force field, don’t allow any mental energies to come in that are negative, only allow unconditional love and support in.”

  • “Force field, put me in the right place at the right time.”

  • “Force field, generate wellness and health in my body.”

  • “Force field, remove me from any situation that can cause me harm.”

  • “Force field, bring the most beautiful, loving, nurturing, accepting people into my life.”
